Black Wax Solution is the brainchild of Eamon Murtagh, an experienced DJ and vinyl obsessive who firmly believes that whatever the problem, the solution is only a dig in the record box and a spin of black wax away.
Eamon’s passion for vinyl comes from his time working in a record shop as a teenager. From original Soul, Funk and Disco 45's to cutting edge electronic music, Eamon continues on his mission to bring the very best sounds to music lovers everywhere.
Eamon has cut, scratched and mixed his way across some of London’s hippest and most iconic venues, including the audiophile Mecca of Spiritland in Kings Cross and The Strongroom’s of Shoreditch (where everyone from The Prodigy to The Black Madonna have recorded). Eamon can now be found spinning vinyl in venues across London, including the award winning Howling Hops Tank Bar, The Queen of Hoxton, The Market House Brixton, The Old Blue Last and Sebright Arms.
Having cut his teeth on the underground party scene of the 90s, Eamon now presents a Black Wax Solution monthly radio show on Reel Rebels Radio, where he showcases the rare and iconic vinyl he has been collecting for decades.
